Friday started in 1992 with a documentary project entitled,
"Celebrating The Pacific: The Sixth Festival of
Pacific Arts."* Shot on location in the Cook Islands,
the event brought nearly 40 Pacific Island cultures together.
The theme of The Sixth Festival was to honor Polynesia's seafaring
ancestors. Industrious people, Polynesians were successfully
navigating and discovering Pacific Islands more than 200 years
before Colombus or Cook. The documentary went on to win numerous
awards.*
Today
